Remove the listing brokerage name and phone # from the websites thumbnails for Canadian listings
This would apply to Agent and Team sites and Consumer App.
The listings thumbnails our our Command websites display the name and phone number of the listing brokerage. This is not a requirement or is an incorrect reading of the rules. Realtor.ca, for example only displays the address, price, beds and baths and square footage. Remax websites only show the price, address, beds and bats as well as the MLS # in small font. The listing brokerage and phone numbers are only displayed in the Listings Details. Showing that information on the thumbnails refrains our agents from promoting their Command Websites and penalize them against all other brands.
Here is an explanation of the rule:
"According to the standard IDX policy—which TRREB follows through NAR—minimal information displays (like thumbnails or very short snippets under 200 characters) are exempt from the requirement to show the listing agent's or broker's phone or email. However, when you move beyond a minimal display—for example, in the listing details view—you must prominently display the listing firm’s name and an email or phone number (in clear color and font size no smaller than the median listing data)".
