    Most entities with a DBA prefer payment to be made to their DBA, rather than to the Legal Name. The Legal Name is often not the name by which the Company is commonly known. The Title companies get confused when they see a name on the DA that the business is not commonly known as. The MCA is having to change the Legal name in the vendor card to the DBA name so it prints correctly on the DA. Then, before they run 1099s, they have to go back and change it to the Legal name so it prints correctly on the 1099, leaving room for potential IRS errors.
