Simplifying and Clarifying the Commission Request Workflow in Command
Hi KW Labs Team,
I’d like to offer feedback on the current Commission Request process in Command and suggest an updated, agent-friendly design based on common challenges we see at our market center. I understand that I may not know all the ins and outs of the backend process, but this is a time-consuming problem for both the agent and the staff.
Step-by-Step Input Form (Agent-Facing)
Remove “Create an Offer” requirement. Instead, begin with a Commission Request Wizard that asks only the relevant and required questions.
Step 1: Transaction Basics
Sale Price
Closing Date
Is this new construction? (If yes, show next question)
If yes: “What is the base price used for commission calculation?”
Are there builder-paid bonuses? If yes, enter the amount separately.
Step 2: Agent Role
What side(s) are you representing?
Buyer / Seller / Both
Commission units/sides are you claiming?
Commission percentage rate per side.
Step 3: Fee Breakdown
Transaction Fee (Label clearly—not "Bonus")
Referral Fee
Amount or %
Paid to whom?
Builder Bonus (new field)
Clearly labeled: “Builder-Paid Bonus (not part of gross commission)”
Step 4: Team Commission (if applicable)
Are you on a team? Y/N
If yes, show breakdown fields:
Lead Agent %
Showing/Listing Agent %
Admin/TC %
Step 5: Summary & Submit
Provide a clean summary of all entries with editable sections before submitting.
I hope this makes sense. Thanks for your consideration.
