Have Primary Email Selectable like phone number
On the contact page where you see an email address, you should be able to click the email address and it opens an email to the contact. On the phone number when you click it you are prompted to "call" or "message". Why can't you click email and send an email? Too many steps to send an email.

You can now send one off emails via Contacts! Just click on the email and choose Command Email.
